Biography of Linda Bonnefoy for Go Gallery
Linda Bonnefoy began her lifelong artistic process at 5 years old while patching together quilting scraps, beneath the mosaic of stained glass colors, of her mother’s quilting frames. These earliest impression of fiber, color and texture were later transformed into felted murals and oil painting. Felting is one of the oldest fiber arts and a preferred art medium of Linda, apart from the workshop, which introduced Linda to felt making and needle felting, the development of her technique has been independent of any other instruction. Linda’s eldest sister an accomplished art curator and painter provided painting and pottery sessions to her younger sister as she mastered new mediums in her desire to create. Linda believes her artwork is a narrative and serves to interpret her lived experiences, with friends and family which are often depicted and aspire her art.
Nature is woven into Linda’s art narrative. Precious time is spent finding feathers, driftwood, and rocks to incorporate into tile mosaics, custom made upcycled and new hats, felted murals, grizzly bear pouches and more. Linda’s art is inspiration driven, it has not been market driven and she enjoys sewing as much as she enjoys painting.

Biography
I believe that I am the change that I want to see. My art is a reflection of and is symbolic of my intent. If it is true that I am the world and the world is me then it is with the greatest humility that I paint mould and sculpt a world of beauty, justice and integrity.
